My relevant education, strength and conditioning, playing and coaching experience is diverse. Over the course of my career I have worked with youth, high school, college and professional athletes.
I am currently employed by the Phoenix Central School District where I am a middle school Teaching Assistant and varsity boys basketball coach. As a teaching assistant I have worked with a wide range of students from grades 5 to 8 and most notably been a very important part of the special education department. For boys basketball, I have turned the program around from 8 wins combined the first 2 seasons, to 36 wins the three seasons with the schools first league championship and most wins in 33 years, as well as first playoff win in over 20 years. I was also the Head coach and director of player development for the Syracuse Stallions professional basketball team in The Basketball League from 2018-2021. In 3 seasons with the Stallions I compiled a 70-11 record, won 3 region championships, 2 final fours and a national runner up finish. Prior to that I was employed by Lemvig Basket which is a professional club in Denmark. I spent 3 seasons with this club as a coach and a player working with the men's, women's and youth teams. I was also head of strength and conditioning where I have developed and implemented off season, pre season and in season training as well as injury prevention and rehabilitation programs. As associate head coach for the top league women's team we were able to win the Danish Pokalcup Championship for the first time in the club's history in 2017. As head coach for the men's team we had improved from a non playoff team in 2015 to the #2 seed in 2017 playoffs and moved our way into the finals out of 36 teams. I also have NCAA Division 3 men’s coaching experience, New York State class AA high school coaching experience where I was also the head of strength and conditioning for those programs, as well as playing and coaching experience in 8 different countries for the past 15 seasons.
In addition to my experiences I have also been involved in communities and schools. From 1999-2023 I have been a Town of Clay and Phoenix Community Basketball volunteer contributing to many basketball camps and leagues for youth. In Denmark, Dubai and Bulgaria I have also contributed to various community events promoting the teams and working with schools to provide basketball training, fun drills and public speaking about my experiences with traveling as a player and coach.
